Configuration for 93,750 baud operation

805U Modem Configuration

The following table lists the configuration settings for the 805U. From Factory defaults,

the followng settings are required.

Radio Baud Rate: 76,800 baud.

Serial Baud Rate : 93,750 baud (Note: requires firmware version 1.72 or later).

Character Format: 8 data, even parity, 1 stop.

Error Checking : Enabled

Flow Control: RS-485 Mode

Note: PC Serial ports cannot be set to the 93,750 baud rate, so the final command should

set the baud rate and write the parameters to memory. The following listing demonstrates

this. After the final command “atc13&w” the terminal will be unable to communicate

with the modem, as the modem will be set to 93,750 baud.

Profibus Network Configuration

The Profibus network is configured with a T_Slot time of 4000, T_Set value of 494 bits,

and a Max_T_Sdr time of 1023 bits. The Profibus Data rate is set to 93,750 baud. The

following diagrams show the screens required for configuration of a Siemens S7 PLC

using STEP7 configuration software.
