455U-D Modem Configuration
Configuration can be made via the 455U Configuration Utility or via Hayes commands using a
terminal package such as ProComm or HyperTerminal. User manual will give full details on the
actual addressing formats. Below is a brief overview of the settings needed.
System Address is the
same for all units.
Individual Unit
addresses for each
mode
RS485 Path is for the
Address that the
message will go to.
128 is Broadcast
Address for RS485.
Return messages
RS485 Path Address
129 is indicating that
all messages will go
back to Unit Address
1.
This box must be
checked when using
Broadcast feature on
all remote Slave
modems
Refer user manual for
further information on
addressing.
System Address to
be the same for all
modems.
Unit address to be
different on each
modem.
